Paris Fashion Week Diaries

October 10, 2017

Song of Style

Another September, another Pairs Fashion Week! I think this is my most daring fashion week yet thanks to my amazing hair stylist Anh and makeup artist Mai. I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried new looks that I would never try otherwise, and to me, this is what fashion week is all about – being adventurous and exploring different styles. After this fashion week, I am filled with new inspiration and ideas that I am going to try out once I’m back in LA. Check out my makeup looks and get some tips from Mai in this video! This fashion week has been different and extra special because I chose to be more selective with which shows I attend. Instead of going to every single show and having a really packed schedule, I only went to the brands that I really love and have a relationship with, and since I had a little bit more time, I was able to produce daily vlogs for you guys. You can see all my latest vlogs here! Also, I got to catch up with my friends in Paris, my boyfriend, and even my sister who surprised me half way through the week! Here are some of my favorite moment during PFW. Since I spent so many days in Pairs, I stayed at two different hotel – Le Meurice and Hôtel Plaza Athénée. Both rooms were incredible and the views were just so amazing, Le Meurice was close to The Louvre and Plaza Athénée was overlooking the Eiffel Tower. Not to mention, the breakfast in the morning was amazing! Our whole team probably all gained some weight because of that. I filmed a being extra video in both hotels. Thanks so much for having me!The Saint Laurent show was one of the first shows I attended. I wore a sparkly mini dress with a matching blazer to the show. I feel like this is the look that kickstarted all the other extraordinary looks I did. I never wear much makeup, let alone crazy smokey eyes, but with Anh and Mai’s encouragement, I decided to try this look and I am glad I did because this is one of my favorites! The Chloé show this year was extra special to me because I was gifted a bag from the newest collection. It is crazy to see the bag that I am carrying being carried by the models on the runway at the same time. This is Natacha Ramsay-Levi’s first Chloé collection and I have to say I was blown away because she came from Louis Vuitton, which I am a huge fan of. I think she took the essence of Chloé and added her own twist to it. Isabel Marant is one of my favorite designers. I was thrilled that I get to wear this look for her show because I remember seeing this look on the runway last season and was completely in love. I wore an Isabel Marant glitter sweater, embellished denim jacket (similar here and affordable here), Rosie HW x Paige leather skirt and Isabel Marant glitter bow heels to the show. This season Isabel Marant debuted her men’s wear collection and I totally see myself wearing something from it because most of the clothing was very unisex. It’ll be just like I am wearing my boyfriend’s clothes! Oh, I also loved Kaia Gerber’s walk during this show–she’s definitely learning from the best. This look for the Loewe show gave me Princess Leia vibes for some reason. Maybe it’s the metallic makeup paired with metallic accessories? I matched this All Blue earring (similar here and here) with a JW Anderson bag. OMG!! My sister Dani came to Paris to surprise me!! My friend Edouard planned everything and we all went to Crazy Horse, which is a Parisian cabaret. If you have never been to Crazy Horse, think the movie Burlesque but even better!I went to a GRLFRND Denim x Frwd dinner for their latest collaboration, where I wore this Rosie HW x Paige bodysuit and these GRLFRND Denim jeans (on sale right now!) (affordable here). This was also the night Jacopo came to Paris to see me! I lucked out with this Valentino outfit! I went to the fitting very last minute and most of the clothes from the showroom were already gone. I can’t believe no one picked this coat. This is what I imagined Royals would wear back in the days and it felt very major. I also attended the new Louis Vuitton store opening at Place Vendôme with my sister Dani. I was so empowered by this hair that Anh did, and if I was a superhero, this would be my outfit. I just felt so badass in this Louis Vuitton leather dress and this hair. Maybe it’s the hair, maybe it’s the fact that I was surrounded by people I love, I was beaming that night! What do you think about my bangs that Anh added for the Chanel show? If you want to read about the outfit details, take a look at this blog post here. Louis Vuitton was the last show I attended, and the collection was amazing as always. The venue of the show was in the Louvre’s Pavillon de l’Horloge, which just opened just last year. The collection was inspired by the 18th-century with a modern twist. For example, all the models were wearing 18th-century dresses but wearing a pair of sneakers. Oh, it was also fun to see a  Strangers Things t-shirt walking down the runway. So, that’s a wrap on Paris Fashion Week S/S18! Which one is your favorite look?
