Aimee Song, fashion blogger of Song of Style, shares her in-depth experience of the cruise shows of 2018 when she traveled to France. It seems like I can never stay away from Paris for too long. I was just there for the Chanel cruise show two weeks ago and now I’m back for the Dior cruise show and Louis Vuitton show. Here’s a recap of everything in between! Dior kicked off the cruise show with the most beautiful welcoming dinner. They rented out an entire restaurant and redecorated the venue top to bottom titling the place “Chez Christian” at Montmartre. It was a stunning dinner so I pulled out all the stops with this Dior silver mini dress (similar here and affordable version here) and topped it off with a bold red lipstick. After lunch, I started getting a mini anxiety attack. Maybe it’s the intense traveling, but I had a mini anxiety attack so I was thankful to be in sneakers so I could take a walk and calm myself down. Here are some other tips on how to cope with anxiety. Turn on your JavaScript to view content Finally, it was showtime. I ventured out to the suburbs of Paris for the show. I wore a head-to-toe Dior look including this Dior tulle dress (similar here and here) and Dior slingback pumps (similar here and affordable version here). As you’ve seen in my vlog, It started to pour rain but that didn’t take away from the experience. I always look forward to Maria Grazia Chiuri’s creativity and she didn’t disappoint. A core part of the show paid homage to Escaramuza Charra, a traditional Mexican sport with female horseback riders sitting sidesaddle. They wore full skirts and performed a rhythmic dance while the models walked on the outskirts of the venue. Unlike the rain in Pairs, Cannes was sunny with clear skies. We had some free time before the night’s welcoming dinner so I took advantage of the perfect weather and went to the pool. I wore this Midsommar Swim gingham off the shoulder bikini set (similar here and here) with the MUUN Basket Bag (40% off right now!). I went with an all white look with wore these Louis Vuitton white embroidered jeans (similar here) and my Vince white sweater (on sale right now, affordable here). At night, it was time to attend the Louis Vuitton welcoming dinner. How amazing is this Louis Vuitton purple dress (similar here) I decided on for the night? I paired the dress with Louis Vuitton metallic boots (similar here and affordable version here) because floral pattern on the boot picked up the similar pattern in the dress.
